I made a mistake and used the Cosplay.com forum for information and missed their Friday shoot. (won't happen AGAIN...) The communication between the two shooting areas was a bit off. Since us Deadpools didn't have our own shoot, we milled about, making our own fun. We only found out we were welcome in the X-shoot by wandering over there, intent on making mischief.
Perhaps getting a dry erase board and listing the areas each shoots are? Labeling specific shoot sites might help as well. It might make it easier for some of the photogs and unique characters to meet up and make some magic.

I guess my assumption that the Deadpools would know that they were supposed to be with the other mutants was a mistaken one. Not to keep picking on you Deadpools, but I also guess you all missed the giant poster in the main hallway with the diagram to each shoot too To accommodate all you , I'll change "X-Men" to "Mutants" on the poster next year to help ease the confusion

One other idea I had was PROPS. The more fun photos are interactive.
Combat simulations, character pieces.. How about some 60's signs of
"POW" "ZAM!" or such? I happen to own a smoke machine. Would it be
allowed? What about blood spatters? What's the limit? Where are the
boundaries, so we can test them?

I like to work WITH people.. DP is fun to cosplay, but knowing what's allowed lets me have fun without being truly annoying.Personally, I detest the 60's signs with the words on them for group pictures. I think those work best in 1-2 character photos. But that's just me. Please feel free to have fun with them at the rest of the Con or at another shoot -Nah.. was just a suggestion. If you want to set up your own shoot with the smoke machine, feel free. But that's not something I'd ever want at the giant shoots. And NEVER blood spatters at any time at any shoot at the Con. Remember - we are guests of the Hilton who are graciously allowing us to shoot there - and someone has got to clean up the mess.-With a shoot of this size, it's understandable to limit or outlaw certain actions or practices. That's why I was asking. Just FYI, I've been doing SPFX for LARPs and other events on and off for almost two decades. I would not have simply have gotten ye ol bucket and then not cleaned up. It's still a year until I'll have my fun again. I'll run anything I think of by you before even thinking of bringing it to a shoot. Thanks for the feedback.

I hope my comments weren't misconstrued as abrasive to to SCF. Cosplay.com's information left me high and dry as far as meetings and shoots. I'll keep the login, but this place is my main focus for information. My main Cosplay is the Devil. I might be able to mix in a little Azazel with the mix, but Deadpool is so damn much FUN!!
