Room Deposits / Cancellation Policy
Hyatt Regency Atlanta will charge one full night’s deposit 90 days prior to arrival, which will be approximately the last week of May, based on your arrival date. Deposits will be automatically charged to the credit card on file during the week of May 25 – 31, 2014.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations prior to June 1, 2014 have no penalty. Between June 1 and Aug. 1, 50% of the deposit will be retained for any cancellations. After Aug. 1, the full deposit will be retained for any cancellations.
Room Scalping / Changes in Reservations.
In recent years, there has been an increase in room scalping of DragonCon reservations, which makes it extremely difficult for all parties involved to have a fair and consistent reservation / booking process. Similar to ticket scalpers at major sporting or concert events, some third parties book DragonCon rooms that they will not personally use and then resell them online or through various other means.
In an effort to discourage this activity, Hyatt Regency Atlanta will not accept any changes to reservations after the 90-day deposit has been charged. We will therefore not accept date changes, reservation name changes nor additional guests added to a reservation after the May deposit is charged. After June 1, 2014, the only change allowed to a reservation will be a cancellation.
